EspañolBeneficiary entity: Onçafari
Project inspiration: Following the visual identity of artist Gus Attab, the proposal, far beyond its aesthetic appeal, aims to relate symbolically to the current extinction threat facing the jaguar, also exploring the theme of the matter/spirit duality. The golden color evokes perfection, rarity, and also the richness and true value that the environment and all its diversity of fauna and flora possess. A value that is not monetary, but rather immaterial and immeasurable. The fragmentation of the golden layer expresses extinction — the danger of a species ceasing to exist physically, living on only in human memory (hence the name "OBLIVION"). For this reason, in contrast to matter, the vast and obscure universe revealed in the background serves as a symbolic allusion to the unconscious mind, the "great mystery."
Jaguar dimensions: 125 x 53.2 x 203 cm (H x W x D) Base dimensions*: 62 x 62 x 203 cm (H x W x D)
Materials: Fiberglass, Acrylic Paint, and PU Varnish.
Suitable for outdoor display. The sculpture base is also part of this lot.

Entidade beneficiada: Onçafari
Inspiração do projeto:
